Our Team
Kristyn Fabela, Founder,
Cert. in EAP/EAL, Executive Director
In 2016 I founded Solia Farm in Apison, TN. The focus of Solia Farm is solely mental health. Using proven EAP/EAL/EAEM techniques and exercises.
I was raised in Naples, Maine where my love of horses grew early. At the age of twelve, I was given horseback riding lessons for my birthday. It lead to me attending college in Pennsylvania where I studied equine science. Since finishing college I have worked in several programs.
I found my true calling while working with at risk youth in 2002 using horse therapy. It gave me a deep joy seeing youth working, and connecting with horses. This unique alignment allowed those youth to be aware of their actions, gain empathy, and build more healthy relationships.
Since then I have worked and volunteered at several other therapeutic programs all over the country.
In 2019 I received my first certificate in Equine Assisted Psychotherapy from O.K. Corral Series. Since I now have 4 of the 6 certifications offered through O.K. Corral Series. I’m always updating my training, and studying the latest in EAP.
I can’t wait to come along side you in your journey to healing.
Wendy Bovell, LCSW Cert. in Equine Therapy with PATH and OK Corral Series
My name is Wendy Bovell, LCSW and I have been a licensed clinical social worker in Chattanooga since 2002.
In my career, I have found myself in the role of ally, advocate, guide, supporter and confidant. In my 20 years in private practice and 30 years in the mental health profession, I have found that building rapport and offering compassionate support can be the most effective way to establish and maintain the therapeutic alliance. My training is from the holistic systems perspective with overall health being the primary goal, with a special emphasis on the improvement of our mental health.
I understand that all facets of life work in conjunction and in collaboration with one another. As we improve one aspect of our life, we can very often expect an improvement in other areas of our life. I specialize in direct mental health care. I have a special interest in treating each client as a whole for optimal overall health and wellbeing.
I appreciate the opportunity to meet amazing people and I honor being chosen to help make their mental health better with respect, support, and proven therapeutic interventions. Wendy is certified equine professional with P.A.T.H. international, and O.K Corral Series.
